Third-Party Measurement-Feedback Alignment

Active-alignment feedback is not limited to images — wire an optical power meter (OPM), beam profiler or other instruments into the loop, and the same 6DoF platform aligns MetaLenses, laser diodes and photonic components, peak-seeking directly on the measured values.

Process Measurement-Feedback Alignment · OPM / Beam Profiler

Machine vision first coarse-aligns the VCSEL and MetaLens; a scan then builds the power terrain and gradient hill-climbing follows, as the 6DoF platform converges linear offsets and tilt. Only after alignment come dispensing and UV curing, with shrinkage drift compensated by the loop.

Alignment is driven by the light the instruments read — the beam profiler records spot shape and 1/e² diameter, while the OPM reports coupling efficiency and insertion loss; from before to after alignment, the spot converges from a skewed, divergent blob into a tight Gaussian circle.
