Two-Component Active Alignment Assembly

From the machine exterior, into the alignment mechanism, and on to the images the module itself captures — scroll down to see how two optical components overcome accumulated part tolerances and converge into a stable, repeatable, production-ready precision alignment process.

  • 6DoF Active Alignment The CMOS sensor is powered up for live imaging; MTF / through-focus feedback converges X/Y/Z offsets and tilt simultaneously
  • Precision Vision-guided Dispensing A top camera picks up the bead reference and the dispense path is corrected against the actual outline in real time; metered output controls bead width and volume, and UV curing holds the aligned pose
  • Real-time Image-quality Feedback Multi-point sampling on a checkerboard chart monitors center and corner fields together; the through-focus curve locates the best focal plane
  • Multi-format CCM Support VCM · Lens · Periscope · Wide FoV · Zoom · Panel · endoscopy — all on one 6DoF platform

02 / MECHANISM

Mechanism Two-Component Active Alignment · Lens to Sensor

The CMOS sensor is powered up for live imaging, and real image quality (MTF, through-focus curves) feeds back in real time while the 6DoF platform converges linear offsets (X/Y/Z) and tilt — loading, dispensing, measurement, alignment, UV curing and final test all complete within a single cycle.

Image What the Module Sees · MTF / SFR Through-Focus

Alignment is driven by what the module itself sees — a checkerboard chart sampled at five fields (center plus four corners), each with a paired H/V ROI straddling a vertical and a horizontal edge to read resolution and astigmatism in both directions; the through-focus curve then reveals each field’s best focal plane.

04 / APPLICATIONS

From machine to mechanism to image — one shared alignment foundation Beyond Mobile Camera Modules

Active alignment, precision vision-guided dispensing and metrology share the same 6DoF motion and machine-vision foundation, supporting VCM, Lens, Periscope, Wide FoV, Zoom, Panel and endoscopy camera modules — the shared core of every AIC equipment solution.

This page uses the mobile camera module as its example, but the alignment platform reaches well beyond it.

A 6DoF motion, imaging-feedback and process-integration foundation already extends to camera modules, AR waveguides, light-engine stack alignment and optical coupling.
