Active / Passive Alignment

Six-axis and beyond. Our alignment platforms position optical components to sub-micron linear and milli-degree angular repeatability, with real-time optical feedback (MTF/SFR, optical power, colorimetry) closing the loop.

Inside the machine: watch alignment happen.

From two- and three-component active alignment assembly to third-party measurement feedback and light engine stack alignment — AIC has built each of its core capabilities into an interactive 3D demonstration.

These are not concept animations: they follow the architecture of the equipment AIC actually ships — how the machine moves, how the mechanism aligns axis by axis, how measurement feedback drives the loop to convergence, with live curves and metrology data alongside.

Every process step you see is a capability we deliver on customers' production lines — and what is shown here is only part of what the equipment does.

The clip is an autoplay preview; the interactive version steps through each stage.

Motion & Mechanics · Optics · Vision · Software

Sub-micron precision — from mechanics to optics and software.

AIC designs its own multi-axis alignment stages, fixtures, and motion control — structural rigidity, vibration isolation, and precision motion tuning all owned by one team. Precision isn't dialed in at the end of the line; it's engineered into the mechanics, so every alignment repeats at sub-micron level at full production takt.

"Aligned" is defined by light. We build our own collimators and measurement optics to turn MTF, focus, and optical axis into quantifiable criteria; during alignment, vision algorithms feed position and quality data back in real time until the part converges. Production software then ties recipes, per-unit traceability, and MES together — so during ramp-up, you can see exactly where the problems are.

About AIC

Prove it on your parts first.

Under NDA, within 2–4 weeks, AIC's lab in Taiwan runs a structured feasibility study on alignment platforms and returns a written report.

  • Achievable accuracy

Linear and angular residuals measured on your actual parts — repeatable numbers, not theoretical claims.

  • Process window

Tolerance margins across alignment, dispensing, and curing, so you know the headroom before committing to production.

  • Cycle-time estimate

Per-part cycle time and throughput projected from measured convergence times on our platforms.

  • Video of your parts being aligned

A full recording of your components being aligned on AIC platforms — seeing is believing.

A reasonable evaluation fee applies

The exact fee depends on component complexity and evaluation scope — quoted up front, with no additions mid-study.

If you proceed to a machine order, the evaluation fee can be credited toward the machine.

The study carries no purchase obligation; the report and all measurement data are yours to keep and use in internal or vendor evaluations.

Deployed and supported worldwide

A world away? Not really.

Every AIC machine is capable of remote diagnostics. With the customer's consent, we support customers through remote diagnostics, critical-spares kits shipped with each machine, and on-site commissioning by our Taiwan engineering team. Detailed support terms are agreed before you order — so "who fixes it?" is answered before it's asked.

We put our planning tool
in your browser.

AIC built this planning tool in-house and made it free to use: drag vision, motion, dispensing, curing, and test modules into a complete system layout. Not many equipment builders hand their integration experience over like this — building the tool takes having built the machines first.
